I have to say I found this quote the most intriguing thing about the article.
“China wants to make it clear that the US, not China, holds the key to resolving the North Korea nuclear problem.”
He also mentioned six-party talks on denuclearization which I do not see the US with it's current administration open to such talks like we have been in years past.

This "diplomat" has a great future in stand up comedy. And thank God we no longer have an Administration that can be taken in by such jokes.

Well no one ever took what China said at face value no administration was foolish enough to do that sir. They all knew you can t trust anything Chinese officials say because they will very well do the opposite l and only seek the CCP self interest.

MAJ James Woods - What will we see? I suggest that you will see precisely what you expect to see regardless of reality. Please don't take that as an insult. It is a simple statement of human nature. You hate someone, you only see evil in all that they do. You like/love someone, you only see good in all they do.

CPT Jack Durish - I expect to see the same thing I've seen since the day I was old enough to follow politics. Everyone will talk the talk until North Korea's dictatorship falls on its own or one of these other nation's leaders not from China actually demands a face to face with Mr. Kim in the DMZ.
And your human nature logic is flawed; cause human nature changes when individuals are forced to interact with each other up close. Easy to hate or trust someone from a distance. Most recent events with the election alone has shown how quickly one can go from liking someone to hating them and vice versa as situation changes. US hates China until we need their help. Russia hates the US until they need our help. Human nature is not black and white. That 'sliver of hope' exists in the grey area.

talks mean nothing if all parties will not abide by the agreements. China and NorKor are notorious for ignoring past agreements.
