Bear in mind that the closest that American military aircraft are permitted to operate is 18" (with two highly experienced pilots who both know what the other pilot is going to do) and that 100' doesn't look QUITE so "unsafe".

I read about this yesterday! The 1st Incident they were within 50 ft! In this incident they came within 100ft I believe!

SPC Andrew Griffin - Spec; Any manoeuvre conducted by an aircraft that does not result in structural damage to the aircraft (or anything else), physical injury to the pilot (or anyone else) and/or a greatly inflated laundry bill is "by definition" NOT "unsafe" [ask a ny fighter pilot].
