Can't connect to YouTube to see, at work, and it's blocked, but, I started with a sling shot, then Daisy BB, then my father's old pump 22, and at 16, I got a 12 Auto Browning.
BB got me used to using a rifled and hitting the target, 22 got me knowing to place the round, and the 12 got me to know the firearm power.
M-16 at basic was a Pee Shooter after my 12 gauge, sorry to say, but in basic I came in 2nd place qualifying with the M-16. Roy Pace who never shot a firearm in his life took 1st place, and I still tell the story, I'll never forget. Lol

My parents signed me up into a safety/marksmanship course at 11. And, when I turned 12, no .22 rifle. So, I made one out of an antler.
