Sgt Wayne Wood I don't care about the picture or the beach, but shutting down the DMV as a "Nonessential Service" seems a little nuts. Other than that it seems like just politics as usual.

I would say it is not huge news so much as a really good lesson in extremely poor leadership. As I posted in response below, since the government shut the state parks down and therefore the beaches at those parks as well, he shouldn't have used that beach even if it was directly behind the Governor's residence. Even as Governor he is supposed to obey all rules and laws in effect in NJ. That includes closed beaches. He should have left the residence and used a public beach or gone to a private beach that belonged to someone else.
As current and former members of the military we should be extra critical of any leader who acts in a self-serving manner. I hope that none of us would ever act or give out orders that we then in turn disobey because they were inconvenient to us. This would be a great case study for young leaders.

I am sure there is a grid coordinate at his location..he probably doesn't realize indirect fire has the right away..that might open some eyes about what a politician's job is..

Not hard to find... this pic doesn't show it but if they pulled out you'd see he's in the back "yard" of one of the Governors' residences.
