Let's not forget that this is commonplace especially for Democrat administrations. But we would be narrow-minded if we thought for a moment that the Republicans don't do it as well. For all the sabre settling in the words that go back and forth when the cameras are on, turn the cameras off in the Republicans and the Democrats go to lunch and dinner as friends. It's just a big game that they play in many cases. There are some that truly want the best for the people but you've got the old dogs in there that we just have to wait until they literally die off. I don't wish harm to any of them but that's about the only way they're going to get replaced. The sad part is that they will be replaced with somebody that will pick up right where they left off. We the people no longer have any rights. It's supposed to be of the people, by the... ideas long dismissed by our elected representatives that vote for their pet projects and not for what the constituents want. Although I'm a conservative I find my self leaning more towards libertarian at this point.

If only this site would add an edit button for those of us that primarily use our cell phones. My Smartphone is stupid! I use speech to text and it couldn't even get the phrase saber-rattling correct in use the word in instead of and. Please don't think that I am intellectually challenged. LOL.
In all seriousness, let us see what we're about to face as the impeachment process goes to the Judiciary Committee. I think it's a foregone conclusion that President Trump, in spite of all the good that he has done legally, will be impeached by the House of Representatives. I wonder if Mitch McConnell will put it to a vote and make a new rule that the Senate can reject and impeachment referral for lack of probable cause. If this were a grand jury they can return what is called a "no bill" which is what I'm referring to.
Moreover, the Democrats have been searching for anything they can sink their teeth into to impeach the president before he even took office. Ladies and gentlemen, that's not what this country is supposed to be about! I didn't complain much when I Obama - excuse me President Obama took office. I sucked it up for 8 years and waited. As he famously said to Senator John McCain, elections have consequences. But in this case what have the consequences been other than massively increased 401ks and the lowest unemployment rates in the history of the country?
There's also one thing that I don't know why it has not been brought up during the inquiry phase. That is that the United States and Ukraine have a treaty that was ratified in 1998 with signatures that states that each country will assist the other with criminal investigations. It is known as the Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters with Annex. It was automatically assumed that President Trump wanted to dig up dirt on a political rival that have not even entered the field yet. I think intelligent Democrats no that there was some unlawful activity occurring with a Biden's. If you're so hard up for an election that you want to steal back, then go for it. But don't forget did the United States also has a process on corruption and human rights where we don't release the money until we are certain it's going to the intended purpose.
I will get off my soapbox now. I guess I double dipped on this thread. I hope I haven't broken some unknown rule.
