If anyone knew of such a dump site they lost out on a chance to recover a lot of valuable memorabilia.

Hi My Fellow Veteran True missing out on a site in a river is a bummer but I guarantee that area has much more in the ground around that site. People involved in the clean up will talk and other TH'ers will jump in to assist in the clean up! No matter how well that area has been searched and cleaned there will always be something there for the finding. New and better detectors are being developed all the time. I for one dig every target that I hear and do not care if I find a coin or a iron nail. Everything comes out of the ground and goes home with me. I am a firm believer in cleaning up the environment. I also pick up surface finds; plastic bottles, glass, and aluminum cans. Everyone in this hobby should do all that they can to clean up as they go. I Salute All My Fellow Veterans!!! GOD Bless America!!!

Hi All My Fellow Veterans I don't go into the water very deep but do find a lot of Civil War and earlier Military relics all over Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania using a metal detector. There is a lot of lost items in the ground that are just waiting to be recovered by anyone willing to invest in some digging, searching, and preserving. I have been a Treasure Hunter (TH'er) since 1976 and have found thousands of items from Germany to California to Canada to Alabama as well as many States in between. This is a hobby of love and making friends along the way is helpful to all. If anyone is interested in trying the hobby let me know as I normally am out digging in a yard or field almost every Saturday if the weather permits. I have several permission sites that have provided items from the 1700s to today. You just never know what you will dig up. I Salute All My Fellow Veterans!!! GOD Bless America!!!
