Pretty sure neither Robin Olds, nor John Boyd would last long in today's Air Force. Hell, Boyd was forced out because he was against spending money on stuff that was uncalled for. I agree, I don't think we could have either of these men in today's Air Force. The civilian marker would gobble them up in a heartbeat: Olds would be a snagged for piloting, and Boyd for engineering.
