I need your guys help. I've sucked up all my pride and am reaching out. In 2010 I was hit by an IED and thrown from the turret. I was fine after a couple weeks I started to feel pain in my neck and shoulder went to the aids station on Kandahar and got sent back out with 800 MG ibeprofen which we all know is the militaries cure for everything. And some ambient to help sleep at night. This was in November of 2010. I returned home in February of 2011 and demob at ft Mccoy. During that they said they same thing. Was sent home the 28th of February to my family. A month went by and I got real bad. My left side shut down couldn't sleep shower use the bathroom nothing without at the time my fiance help. She talked me into going to the VA and thank god I did they sent me to the choropracter and he said I was throwing up all sorts of red flags. Sent me for an mri and found 4 protruding discs. They where pushing on my nervous system which was causing all the pain in my left side and neck. Rushed me in for surgery and replaced the discs with kadiver bones called a fusion. Well that went great and I was back up to moving around great with a 25% loss of strength in my left arm and leg. But I was great could walk again. Well here it is 4 years later I was honorably discharged in august sad day for me cause I loved the army. But anyways. I started having numbness in my legs arms and lower back. Kept pushing myself hoping it wasn't. Anything. But it got to the point to where I had to lift my legs by hand to crawl over stuff at my job. So I went back to the VA and they rushed me in once more this time worse between my c5-c7 my discs had exploded and where pushing on my spinal cord. Rushed me in and fixed me up. Spent vetrans day at the VA instead of doing the vetrans parade at school with my kids who are very proud of me. Killed me but I listened to the drs orders and stayed admitted to the VA because one good fall I could've been paralyzed. I'm recovering now. My Dr said I should be able to go back to work in a month. But yesterday I went in for a post op appointment. And found out that I'm out for another 2 and a half months. I filed for temporary 100% disability. But it could take months to be approved. My short term disability isn't very much at all its enough to pay my mortgage. My sister n law made me a go fund me page. Christmas is around the corner bills are getting behind. I'm about to lose my usaa auto insurance so if you guys could just please post this I would greatly appreciate it cause it's not going very fast and so far the only help I've gotten was 600 in hyvee gift cards from the vfw which I'm not complaining about it helped feed my family and we are stretching it as far as we can. I just need help for bills and my kids Christmas. So if you would please post it and pray there are some better off vets out there who will help my family.
