I caught this story and his explanation is.... lacking. Refusal to name a threat does not make it go away, or any less dangerous. Naming them does not give them any more power or authority it simply defines the target. Calling them Radical Islamic Terrorist does not diminish the Muslims, the first word is Radical and there by differentiates them from normal Muslims. Take the WBB cult. They say they are Christian but no other Christian group will even speak to them. they are Radicalized Christians who are a step away from assault weapons and high explosives. Pointing this out is not an insult to the rest of the Christians now is it.
Your question of why he wont, some say its a head nod, some far right think he is one, some think he is just a coward, I think he simply refuses to see it. I think he has blinders on and anything he doesn't like or doesn't agree with he pretends it isn't there or didn't happen. Just my opinion.

CPO (Join to see) I'd agree with the first part about refusing to name a threat, but I disagree with the second part about naming them. Just look at the difference between revolution and insurrection. Or the difference between bias and one of the -isms(racism, sexism, etc.). You know how you are able to separate the claim of Christianity from the WBB and not take one as the reflection of the other? What if you knew someone who couldn't do that? Would you still risk that association? Trust others to make that distinction on their own? I believe the President is someone whose position doesn't allow him to take such a risk. He may be our commander-in-chief, but he is also our highest diplomat and spokesman.
