Two retired veterans of the US Military Col Reese Turner off the Army and Fleet Master Chief Raymond Kemp discuss the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis and the aftermath on Sons of the American Legion Radio.
Col. Turner a 1988 graduate of West Point, a field artillery officer who deployed 3x to Iraq, 2x to Afghanistan and 1 time to Haiti served 31 years in the US Army.
Fleet Master Chief Raymond Kemp is a 33 year veteran of the US Navy, served as Command Master Chief aboard destroyer USS Mason and aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman. Elevated to Fleet Fleet Master Chief responsible for Europe and African he was for a time was the highest ranked enlisted sailor in the Navy.

What was really eye opening in this discussion was that each had experienced multiple adverse situations. Col Turner said police had come to his house guns drawn in what turned out to be mistaken identity cases. FMC Kemp said he was stopped by police and mistreated over a dozen. times.
