America, the home of get your panties in a knot if someone does not agree with reprobate behavior.
His civil rights? What about the Col's civil rights?

Roger that, CMSgt (Join to see).

It’s a shame because the Colonel obviously displayed professionalism with his efforts, while staying true to his personal beliefs.

LTC (Join to see) - Sincerely held religious belief LOL ok. If he's so against sodomy he shouldn't sign any spouse certificates as oral sex is also sodomy.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff & 1stSgt Nelson Kerr - It will be interesting to see what the Air Force Review Boards Agency does with his appeal referenced in and linked from the article. Quite an interesting read. I suspect that he'll win the appeal ... if not "amicably," in court.

The spouse got the certificate and it was signed by a higher authority, Major Gen. Said. The gay retired MSgt. filed a complaint specifically because Bohannon didn't sign out of religious objection. This is an optional piece of etiquette - not required. Besides, Bohannon put it up the chain for advice to get the certificate signed and dispatched. The situation juat sounds like revenge for something else or the retired AF MSgt. is a whining bitch. The honorary and optional certificate was signed/sent/received; when you are retired and moving on to a completely new chapter in life, why make something out of a relative nothing? Was there prize money? Special privileges that wouldn't be otherwise realized? Simply put, this is just being done for attention. I am not religious, so I am not a fan of visible religious indoctrinated behavior either, but we have to compromise and consider other perspectives. If Bohannon is otherwise a solid airman and has put in his dues, he shouldn't have the rug yanked out from under his entire career over a goddamn piece of paper.

I think that someone unable to handle a problem that he himself created should not be given increased responblity. He had a simple task and could not handle it.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - Actually ... the one that "mishandled" it was LTG Rock. In fact, he didn't just "mishandle" it, he ducked it altogether. He's the one that ought to be walking the plank ... or whatever the heck the AF does with its non-leading leaders.

LTC (Join to see) - What the A does with it faulty leaders is kill thier promotes and let them know that the will be retiring at their current rank, that rank would be COL in this case , If they are nice the give them instructions on how to find the door.
