How do we, as a country, fix this? IMO it's not the weapons that are the problem, we have to fix the people using them. You could see kids having gun racks in their trucks, with shot guns and rifles, in the H.S. parking lot. We didn't shoot up our schools. Why is this happening now? I agree with some when they say that the moral fabric of our great country is in a downward spiral. What can we do to fix this?

SGM when I was a kid it was not unusual to see a pick up in the parking lot with a gun hanging on the rack from the student hunting before class. Things have changed, none of those students ever shot anyone. Nobody ever thought of that being an issue, ever.

It's not the guns, it is our society. Protect the schools not from guns but from evil doers.

CW5 Jack Cardwell Totally agree Chief. There are plenty of able retirees, myself included, that would volunteer to patrol schools.
