Check out the Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum. Pay especial attention to the last phrase in the first paragraph, the state of purpose: "...creating future global citizens." Not American citizens, global citizens. If anyone commenting on this discussion thread cares to defend this purpose, please begin by describing this "global community of global citizens". What would it look like. How would it be governed. If it is not America, I have no desire to be a citizen of it...

California schools and politicians are simply striving for classes that unionized teachers can successfully teach.
