Don't understand all the surprise on this. Has been in their platform from day one. Look at section A New Era in Energy, Page 3 line 22 (in draft) "we support the opening of federal lands and the outer continental shelf to exploration and responsible production" also in section Environmental Progress Page 6 line 10 "it is absurd to think all that acreage must remain under the absentee ownership of official Washington." Given the pro business makeup of the cabinet it's unrealistic to think that Trump administration is not going to adhere to the platform and open national lands to development.

IS this the land that the Obama administration confiscated from private citizens and added to the national parks?
