Congress to get beefed-up security for electoral vote certification on Jan. 6

Let us hope that is unnecessary, but I fear not.

I wish people would take the time to learn about our government and understand this is procedural and that the election of the President does not in any way happen at the Federal level. The election of the President is at the state level and if something ever stopped this vote, the outcome of the election would remain the same, and the states could easily appoint electors the following day, and this could be done over Zoom or a similar platform.
