From what I understand, this was essentially a one issue bill; those who voted against this, voted against only this.

I hate, hate, hate these niche 'named' bills and laws. It shouldn't take a new federal law to require anyone, let alone an illegal alien accused of theft, to be held in jail. It already is case law that a person be held awaiting trial. Now obviously bail plays into this, but people who are flight risks generally are held without bail, and this turd was a flight risk from the word go.

They way things are going, well all have laws with our names in them. Mine will be 'put down the donut after the firth one Trent Klug law. I'll be banned from Dunkin' Donuts for life.
