Congressional bill seeks to honor Seabees with memorial

As we come up on 75th birthday of Navy Seabees ( A small and often overlooked combat support community and Combat Service support) They have fought and supported every Major conflict going back to WW II and were also the First NCDU's that later became UDT's.

There is a bill that passed the house and should pass before their Birthday March 5th. The Bill is proposed to name the new Federal Post office in Oxnard Cal for Navy Seabee Battalions in Honor of those that have fallen in Combat. Yes Seabees have fought and died in Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts by enemy action 21. The SEALS are the only Navy community that have had more lose of life in these two conflicts, this number does not include those lost in training and training exercises and Deployment accidents. This is the second Memorial as the first is in Arlington National Crematory.
