As always, there is more to the story than some want you to know..
"The incident occurred on Sept. 30, 2017, when three juveniles went into the Norwalk, Conn. Dunkin Donuts where Sumpter worked and beat him, according to The Hour. After being assaulted inside the coffee shop, Sumpter ran outside and stabbed one of the men.
The juveniles ran away and police found them hiding behind a nearby shopping center. One was hospitalized for the stab wound.

Three days later, Sumpter was charged with first-degree assault and risk of injury to a minor. At the time, he had a pending charge for violating probation after previously pleading guilty to one charge of carrying a dangerous weapon."

While I don't agree with the Connecticut law that requires retreat..... it was fairly applied in this case it seems. Its also clear the attack was over and Sumpter intentionally continued the attack be following them outside...That is a lot more then just standing your ground

From what I remember reading on this story, and not sure if this is all true or not, it appears the person working at the Doughtnut shop was attacked by three unarmed personnel, then when they left he exited the store, chased them down, and stabbed them.

If this is true, he was the aggressor in a new altercation and is therefore guilty. This does not excuse the piss poor decision to not charge the three initial assailants.

That is how I am reading it as well. Mind you have to click on the link to the local story within the Fox News story in order to find that fact out.

Sgt John Steinmeier - Can't trust any mainstream media anymore. Local stories are best, and if you have to reading two or three "mainstream" takes on the same story to get the truth built into it.
