Controversy erupts over proposal to relocate Alamo Plaza monument

Having graduated from San Antonio, and having most of my friends there. this upsets me. What is it with these politicians who believe that just moving stuff around or to remove it doesn't really mean anything? This is so that NO ONE forgets the men that died in order to establish liberty and freedom. That is everything! That is the United States of America! Liberty and Freedom. That is what makes this country great, and the men that died and whom monuments have been erected for deserve to be left alone for eternity.

This looks more manageable than the Confederate statues which they've been removing here in Texas. The city councils here are about as nuts as anywhere else, and there has been a fervor to get the statues out of sight.
