Approximately 78% of all military convictions that carry a sentence of 3-more years in a given year have to do with child sex crimes.

SFC (Join to see) - That's a staggering number. Have your stats been filtered to sort for predatory vs non-predatory (familial) offenders? That might have some bearing on family well-being and mental health.

(Join to see) - I wish, but this is a shameful secret and the military isn't just rushing to publish these numbers. However the majority of military offenders are familial predators, don't fall for that new age crap "predator vs non-predator". If you are having anything sexual in nature with children you are a predator.

SFC (Join to see) - I was trying to distinguish between those offenders who are truly predatory and unrelated to the victim vs family friend, trusted adult or incest. I'm with you in that I am not a fan of "new age" definitions.

It's to bad the perp didn't resist arrest. It would have saved the tax payers a lot of money if he hadn't made it to the Police station.

There are so many child molesters around that people probably deal with at least one, every day, and don't realize it. Fortunately most of them aren't predators, but you can't count on any of them ever being "safe."
