I find this quite interesting that the active component can close recruiting centers and not gather in large numbers but the National Guard can jump right into the fire gathering in large numbers. Here in MD, we get the pleasure of having a mass formation early next week to begin the "check in" process for what looks like a very long state active duty mission.
