I've always said that the only reason nothing has been done about the murder rate in Chicago is because the criminals that pay are protected. There must be many in the higher echelons who are receiving bribes as pay offs. I'll bet that's the reason they are determined to stay sanctuary cities. MS13 must be paying well.

SGT (Join to see) - I know my Grandfather used to be on the political team running Milwaukee County back in the 1960's and early 1970's......heard lots and lots of stories about Chicago Politics when I was a kid all of it Mayor Daley related. The Cronyism mostly (still exists today....look at the last METRA scandal).

SGT (Join to see) - SE Wisconsin has had some serious battles with Chicago. One was over AL CAPONE, he had two Summer houses in Wisconsin for chilling out when things got too hot in Chicago. The State Police kept after him and eventually shut them both down. He had a home in Brookfield, WI and I think one way up North near Rhinelander,WI for smuggling items across the Canadian Border (Cigarettes I think). The closing of the Rhinelander hideout took a shootout as it brought in real money but I think he left Brookfield, peacefully because Brookfield was only a safe house and once it was discovered it lost it's utility.

I don't think Chitcago ever recovered from the 20's and the mob influence of that time.
