+1 Neal McCoy. Nothing "racist" about it. Fair kickback for disrespecting the U.S. flag and anthem. It is pretty stupid to pick a method of protest that is guaranteed to piss off the people that you want to support your issue. NFL players did it ... and are still doing it. Dumb.

I am damn proud to be an American. I stand and salute the flag and the Anthem while in and out of uniform. I am also unshaken when it comes to telling those who sit and/or kneel during the Anthem and Colors ceremony that they are disrespectful. I also tell them to learn the difference between what is constitutionally protected and what is not. Is IS NOT yours or any other persons RIGHT to protest while you are in a paid status of your employer. Your employer MAY allow you to participate in such events, and the EMPLOYER has the right to say exactly how you will carry yourself while drawing a paycheck from them.
