Wow… well where to start on this one? Ok so in this day and age with one sided stories I tend to error on the side of let’s get all the facts. But in this case it seems fairly cut and dried by the fact he was relieved of command. The Military does not take a command away for petty reasons.
Reading this I wonder how this individual made the cut to begin with, his quote “You've got to crush their nuts … or they'll never respect you,” shows an individual who believed might makes right and that he should be feared. By following this tactic he has to do LESS work to maintain control at the start but more work on the back side. He has not bred loyalty, or instilled a spirit of one team one fight. Fear of you by your people is never a good leadership trait.
Then we have the “There are individuals who obviously want to crush me; I am not sure why; I was under a lot of stress; the burden of command is heavy; people just don't understand how challenging it is to always do things in a professional manner,” quote.
Add that to
“The staff often avoids presenting you with bad news because they fear your reaction. Instead of absorbing bad news and providing guidance for a solution, the perception amongst the officers and [staff noncommissioned officers] is that you immediately look to lay blame on someone.”
Shows someone who wants to blame everyone for their failings and was not capable of handling the level of responsibility placed on them. This guy was a Sobel it’s the only way to describe him. He may have hit all the wickets to be put in command but somewhere along the line someone should have put a stop to it. This was not an overnight thing, this individual learned these traits, and their leadership style was developed and seen by higher ups over their career. Someone knew how this man was long before he became a CO.

Sounds like the norm leadership in a grunt unit lol. Minus any racial or sexiest acts.
