This will make recruiting a challenge, but better from the start than getting Soldiers at units that have never passed an APFT and chapter out never having passed.

I think this is a genius idea and it is going to happen. This combined with an MOS specific APFT will help get the right person, with the right intelligence, into the right job.

If I may add CSM. Physical demands testing is already taking place for reclass soldiers. We inprocessed 33 soldiers that are reclassing to 11B. I don't have the full task list in front of me,me it some of the events are: 35m hand grenade throw, 268lb dummy drag, 103lb casualty extrication, 100m 3-5 sec rush, wall climb, 25mm feeder move, stow, then load a TOW missle, sand bag carry, and a 12 mile ruck with 68lbs of equipment in 5 hrs.
The chief of infantry came and saw us last week to make sure we're tracking on the standards and was pleased from what I took from it.
Benning is already doing this in the "AIT" portion of OSUT. So we are doing the same in the RC MOST's.

CSM Eric Olsen
That's some good stuff, I just came through the maneuver pre-command course and didn't hear a thing about it. Send me the task list if/when you can. Thanks!
