Just as the US military is now, it will become more and more involved as our nation’s guardians of and principal participants in the exploration of space. It truly is that “final frontier,” and it represents an absolutely mind-blowing adventure for the generations that will follow us. I will deeply regret not being on one of those “five-year journeys” when they “go where no man has gone before.”

I've wanted to be an astronaut since 1964 when NASA visited my junior high!!! Closest I ever came was an old girlfriend (who Dear John-ed me when I was in Viet Nam) who was a teacher candidate when Christa McAullife was picked.

SCPO (Join to see) -Thank you For sharing. My junior and senior year in High school I was a screw up smart aleck jerk. After I graduated I watch the Moon landings and wished I had done better. It was amazing stuff. This is also so incredible and people hardly take notice.
