CURMUDGUCATION: Cherry-Picking Problem

Yes, I'm commenting twice, once for the comment and once for the linked article. This is my comment on the article. It makes perfect sense to me. It also is ammunition for closing the US Dept of Education and letting states provide education without federal interference. Allow each state to "experiment" with the various educational systems and people will vote with their feet. Personally, I would choose any system that simply provided vouchers and allowed parents to choose the best schools for their children. Other parents may have other preferences and could then choose other systems.

As a teacher, you read a lot of stuff on this blog? Dear God, please don't tell us that we had anything to do with Common Core!
