Despite the abuse of intelligence used by the politicians over the last many years, this capability is still highly critical to our national security. The issue isn't about whether we should have it, but to make absolutely sure we know who can and has used it, if used illegally. Denying such tools because someone might abuse them is a ridiculous position to argue. No different than saying the Police should not have guns because they might abuse them.
