I could definitely see that...I always found Chaplin rather overblown by contrast, quite honestly, though it'd be the more well-known spoof, of course...personally, my all-time favorite was Buster Keaton, in The General...he actually does this one stunt if you've never seen it that totally blew my mind...he was sitting on the tie rod of a stem locomotive, as it was going up and down...one slip, and whammo...if you haven't seen the flick, it was based on that true story of the train that got swiped during the Civil War, for which the very first MOH was issued...if I can find a video of the stunt, I'll try to send it...I also loved Keaton in his last film, with Zero Mostel, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, that one my father found absolutely, positively hysterical....
