The open border, or lack of border enforment for the last 50 years has produced a political football. A State within a State. I believe, it was ment to be to help bring cultrue destrouction, racial division and an increased size of the central government. In every group, there are bad apples.
That being written, I do feel we as a nation can do something for those who were brought here without knowing it was a crime. They know no other home. For example: All those that were brought here as children and in good standing with the law, we should give them green cards. Full citizenship if they are Honorable military after three years.
Just my opinion.

All these "dreamers" claim that they don't have the time to obtain citizenship in the next six months. Well, you've been here for HOW MANY years? What have you been doing in that time? If obtaining citizenship were important to you, you would have found the time to get right with the law. Or are the illegal immigrant benefits too good to give away by becoming a citizen?

Good morning SSG,
I agree with your line of thought. But, to me this line of thought would be best served on all the other illegal aliens. This issue on the children brought in hits an emotional nerve. Leaving it by it'self while the bigger picture of 20 to 30 million illegal laiens are addressed would make it easier to get something done politically.
This illegal alien issue should never have happened. We have been sold out by those on board an agenda of open borders and desiring more campain monies.

Applying for citizenship is not as easy as 1, 2, 3. It takes 5 years after becoming a legal resident. If you are illegal, regardless of how you became illegal, it is not an easy task to become legal but it can be done. Many of these people have not even taken the first steps. This is where Congress comes in and needs to come up with an official law handling this type of issue. Unfortunately, for those in question, immigration is expensive. In fact, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services in the only self funded federal agency and this is due to the high cost of fees for various immigration applications and processes. These people cannot get citizenship in 6 months; most likely they will not even be legal in 6 months due to the backlog of the immigration process, but what they can do is actually file an application and start the process. Additionally, there really is no process for DACA people to just show up and file an application, they have to be in the process of removal proceedings and file to stop the proceedings due to various hardships on them or loved ones. Basically, you have to get in trouble to get caught by ICE, but not too much trouble as to get you deported, but you are in a status where you don't really want to get in trouble in the first place. You can marry an American citizen which can make things a little easier, but it is definitely an uphill battle.

Here are three dreamers <Edit 9/11/17: one illegal alien, with the aid of 3 other low-lifes> whose dream is over. It's time for a nightmare for them. This is lower than an insect. Rather than send them back they should go to general population of a really bad prison. Cons don't like rapists and they'd be living the nightmare for the rest of their miserable lives.

Despite what Hollyweird tells you about prisons, it's all false. For the most part, criminals run the intra-prisoner society in prisons. Gangs in prison operate mostly as they do on the streets. Rapists and child molesters have their own "mutual protection" groups. They're not as large or powerful as the white or black/muslim racist groups, or gangs like MS-13 or the Three Kings, etc. but they are there. Putting violent criminals in prison hoping that "prison justice" will take care of them is like putting a shark into an aquarium full of other sharks-- it just empowers them in a different environment. Execute them or deport them. That's the only true way to end their threat to the law-abiding society.

SSG(P) (Join to see) - I've read that if someone wants you they will get you in prison. People get affiliated but even then they are often pimped out if they refuse to help with illegal activities such as drug dealing. Unless someone is in a supermax under protective custody or in the SHU they are always vulnerable. Jeffrey Dahmer is an example. He had his brains smashed in with a pipe. I think only one is an illegal and he'll be deported. The rest are going to do hard time. They have said they intend to try them all as adults.

MSG Stan Hutchison - this should be better, "3 low-life thugs with the aid of a 4th acting as a lookout, conducted a terrible crime against a helpless woman and her children, for which they should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. One was an illegal alien and whatever dreams they may have had for a bright future in the USA are forever lost."

So the author thinks that you cannot be FOR immigration, but AGAINST illegal immigration?

He also stayed away from the CORE argument against DACA, that even some Leftie MSM are "getting," which is that Obama's EO that created DACA is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Obama knew it, yet he still did it. He had a phone and a pen, afterall. President Trump is getting rid of an unconstitutional Executive Order and putting the ball back where it belongs, in the Congress, which is solely empowered (by Article 1, Section 8, U.S. Constitution) to handle "naturalization." I guess telling people the Truth and what the REAL issue is would somehow weaken his arguments (which are just ad hominem attacks and distracting fantasies) and educate people as to how our country is SUPPOSED to work.

President Trump has said repeatedly that he is not against immigration, that he is actually in favor of it, but also for following the laws. You CAN be in favor of the Rule of Law and against illegal immigration. We don't need to "reform" immigration, or make new laws; we have plenty of perfectly good laws and a process for obtaining citizenship. We just need to return to The Rule of Law.

The bottom line is that you are either FOR the Rule of Law or you are not.

When a law is perceived as unjust, it is natural to oppose it. That is how we humans advance our society. I don't need to go through all the laws of the past that we changed. We all know them.

MSG Stan Hutchison - Yes, but there is also a procedure for LEGALLY changing laws. In this case, changing who gets to decide immigration law would require a Constitutional Convention, which to my knowledge, has not happened recently. Therefore, we have to go by what the Constitution says now. To arbitrarily try to change the rules because some minority doesn't like them will only lead to anarchy.

Look what it took to rid ourselves on King George's laws.
Look what it took to rid ourselves of the law that said slavery was legal.
Look what it took to change our draft laws.

I am sorry, but when laws are unjust, citizens must rise up against them.
