I agree, the federal government ever since the 1930's and maybe before that time frame has become over reaching in it's authority given to it by the constitution. The larger it grows the more it hungers for money to spend, give and blow. I attending an economic seminar several years ago. The key note speaker said that for every dollar the average citizen spends it creates $1.75 as it works thru the economy. For every dollar the federal government spends we lose .25 cents because of all the hands that must touch that dollar before it gets to its intended purpose. So the government in general is a drain on the economy for the most part.
