Dashcam Footage of a Cop Saving a Baby's Life Is the Definition of Right Place, Right Time

As a career law enforcement officer, now long retired, I’ll be one of the first to admit there are troubling images on the news of some police officers doing very bad things to members of the public. But, for every one of those “bad cop events” that draw national scrutiny, there are a hundred episodes about officers, like the one in this video, who either get no news coverage or only local attention. What I love the most about this story is that it’s a big white cop and a little black boy. This is what we have always done and will always do best. Thank you, Deputy Jeremie Nix, for being in the right place at the right time. And, grow up strong, Kingston.
