As a SAC crewmember I really didn't know much about chemical weapons. We had annual training and had to spend hours in the cockpit in chem suits every couple of years but that was about it. It wasn't until I was in NBC at a joint command that I learned about the horrors of these weapons.

Sometimes things are just briefed in terms of a payload, I'm assuming. Poor SOBs in DS were doing MOPP IV boogie a lot. I got to see the Road of Death after smoke cleared. JSTARS had them dialed in until game over. A hometown older boy retired as MG over that bunch out of GA. Lived across our back fence in 60s.

I know CS will clear the sinuses. Habaneros will bring tears. That's extent of it for me.
