Great article, now here is my question, where is all this hate coming from as people like Ashley Judd and Madonna get up there and spout of profanity after profanity. I just don't get it. I have no problems with protest, walk down the street all you want, I can't because I have a job. We don't have to agree on everything, but you can't force me to agree with you by using profanity and hate.

SSG (Join to see) - It's a combination of several factors IMO. The left is used to winning the culture war. They are used to being agreed with. They consider themselves to be at the top of the moral pyramid because they believe in the inherent goodness of their causes. They aren't used to having to defend their positions intellectually.
So when someone opposes them and their viewpoints, that opposition is automatically considered morally contemptible and worthy of ridicule, so of course that is their first response. People who hold opposing positions must do so because they are racist/homophobe/anti-choice/whatever, not because they have principled objections.
They have had their way for years and years, and this election was supposed to be the next step in cultural evolution and put the final nail in the coffin for conservatism. But it didn't happen that way. Trump won. TRUMP won! A person they consider to be more deplorable than most beat the candidate that was "the most qualified" of any candidate in history.
That by itself was extremely traumatic for them. But then it started to sink in just how bad it is. Their "popular vote" majority didn't help them because they basically gerrymandered themselves into irrelevance. They saw their electoral blue wall disintegrate and watched a red wall take its place. They realized they lost not only the Presidency, but also the chance to regain the Senate, and the chance to take the Supreme Court. They looked ahead to the next election cycle and saw the potential to lose another 10 Senate seats, which would give Republicans a supermajority if it happens. And they heard that despite having a Democrat/liberal/black President for 8 years (or perhaps because of it), they lost about a thousand seats in state governments over that time.
So now they're desperate. They're lashing out with hate and ridicule because they don't know what else to do. They've never trained themselves to respond any differently. They feign bravado because they still believe themselves to be superior, but really they're scared sh*tless.

SSG (Join to see) - That guy has a history of inappropriate screaming, from what I understand. I don't know of it's "real" or not, but if he was to scream at me that close to my eardrum like he did to some guy in that video, I would respond with a bit of violence.
