LTC Chad Storlie good down to earth article. I am trying to change industry but the barriers to entry are very high. You may need to change industry, but you have to plan that jump so you have some measure of hard qualification/certification, So you can successfully make that jump. Especially since you have little experience or lots of experience in another field. Readiness has to meet the desire to switch.

I have changed industries twice and both times it was the right thing to do. It did take some real serious attitude adjustment to be successful.
