When I was researching the Korean War I had an extremely difficult time getting my hands on any sort of material, let alone primary sources. Local libraries have to focus on what is popular, and unfortunately, the Korean War rarely is.

I am glad too see something positive come to pass about the " Forgotten War." My Father was both a WW II and korea war vet. When the subject came up of what he did in the Army. He would always talk about his experiences in WW II. Not once would he ever mention korea.
About two years before he passed away. I asked him , why he never talked about korea ? He said, while he was stationed in korea that he got emergency Red cross leave to come home for the birth of my sister. while he was at home. He learned that his unit was wiped out ! It bothered him the rest of his life... that is why he never talked about korea... After that He told me never ask him again about Korea.... So sad that this is all the information I can get before my fathers passing !
Maybe one day I will have to find out more.. Thanks for sharing COL Mikel J. Burroughs
