Have you ever wondered why people can't simply introduce and pass legislation based on the merits of the legislation and have to rely on attaching the legislation that they want passed to other pieces of legislation that simply cannot be allowed to fail (REGARDLESS of the actual merits of the legislation that they want to pass)?

I think that I'll have to take a closer look at the actual text of the legislation that actually ends up being passed to see if it actually does what the reports say it is supposed to do (although I suspect that it will most probably have ramifications FAR beyond the publicity [after all, you can't find out if you are on a "Terrorist Watch List" at present without actually purchasing an airline ticket and actually attempting to get on an aircraft and {from all reports} now you will be able to find out if you are on a "Terrorist Watch List" simply by going down to Wal*Mart and trying to buy a .22]).

PS - There is still no known reliable way to have your name actually removed from a "Terrorist Watch List" REGARDLESS of whether you have anything in common with a "person linked to an associate of a reported, suspected, possible, potential, terrorist" or not - other than having a similar name (just ask Mickey Higgs or Daniel Brown).
