These numbers just don't look favorable for the democrats in the 2020 election. It's too bad that they've been convinced that they need to move further left.

I have an idea.
Let's propose policies that destroy whole industries in key states (aviation, petro-gas, coal, social media, financial firms) and then wonder why campaign contributions dry up and their polls stink in those states.
You'd think they would have learned from Hillary telling coal miners to learn to code.

Like the saying goes: Success will deceive to you, but failure will never lie.
Their biggest issue is most moderate democrats are leaving the party and going to Republicians or Libertarians. For everyone else the Democrat Party has become a coastal party - not a national party. Moderates are leaving them in droves.

MAJ Byron Oyler - social democrats. I can't see how believe actually believe in the extremes. Communism isn't going to happen in the US. Socialism isn't going to happen in the US. The government isn't coming for citizens guns. This line of thinking gets us nowhere and is really telling of how uninformed folks are.

Using a socialist rag to debunk socialist myths... yup, i'm going to believe every word! The socialist candidates are saying just that, gun confiscation and espousing marxist-like policies.
They are power hungry little tyrants. They've all been taught marxism without the marxist label, except berny, he's just a communist who disguises his true beliefs as "democratic socialism."
There is nothing democratic about socialism, it's centralized authoritarian government control. They tell you what medical plan you'll use, they'll tell you what kind of car to drive, what kind of energy we can use, what we can think, what we can say, when and where we can say it, where to work, what subjects we can study, and who we can listen to. That's called being a subject, I choose freedom, I will not be subjected to a top down tyrannical government.
How many of these do you recognize in their platforms?
1) Abolition of Property in Land and Application of all Rents of Land to Public Purpose.
2) A Heavy Progressive or Graduated Income Tax.
3) Abolition of All Rights of Inheritance.
4) Confiscation of the Property of All Emigrants and Rebels.
5) Centralization of Credit in the Hands of the State, by Means of a National Bank with State Capital and an Exclusive Monopoly.
6) Centralization of the Means of Communication and Transport in the Hands of the State.
7) Extension of Factories and Instruments of Production Owned by the State, the Bringing Into Cultivation of Waste Lands, and the Improvement of the Soil Generally in Accordance with a Common Plan.
8) Equal Liability of All to Labor. Establishment of Industrial Armies, Especially for Agriculture.
9) Combination of Agriculture with Manufacturing Industries; Gradual Abolition of the Distinction Between Town and Country by a More Equable Distribution of the Population over the Country.
10) Free Education for All Children in Public Schools. Abolition of Children's Factory Labor in it's Present Form. Combination of Education with Industrial Production.
