The Democrats seem to be falling apart. The mid term elections are heavily biased against Democrats. Now they are coming up with a slogan from the 1940's to define themselves. The biggest number the Democrats have to worry about is the lowest unemployment rate in 8 years.

LTC David Brown - That's not factually correct. Case in point- numerous economies in the same recession recovered slower than ours. In fact, our economy rebounded faster than almost any major economy from said recession. The reality is, this was the first major recession in the new global economy. There wasn't much understood theory in how to "really" handle it, yet we did, much better than our European peers. Also, usually, the larger the economy, the harder it is to turn around. That goes both ways.

Well, if you exclude Russia, then I'd say yeah we bounced back faster than any nation. But it's not hard being the worlds reserve currency. :P

Trump himself, just a few years ago before he turned himself into a Republican to run for office, said the economy always does better under a Democratic POTUS.

A "Better Deal" will never work as a national slogan, it is passive and just plain wishy washy. A better deal than what? The New Deal? Trumps America? or God forbid Obama's America? The reason President Trump's "Make America Great Again" and President Obama's “Hope” and “Change We Can Believe In”, worked is that they are both positive and active. Americans want to be "the best" and "to win". You don't win elections by telling voters that we can be a just little bit better, but we don't want to make the rest of the world look inferior or make them feel bad about themselves.

It also sets itself up to be easily lampooned. Sticking with the "deal" theme means opponents can recast it as a bad deal, raw deal, etc.
