This would be a good thing especially in the Guard/Reserves. There are so many dual status folks and AGR's that go after that non deployable B.S. but yet they want to keep their civilian jobs .

I thought this was already implemented? If you’re riding a profile for a year or more they pushed for MEB-at least while I was at Fort Bragg. I think it’s a great idea, personally. Keep those who work to get better and WANT to be in the military and get rid of those who don’t. I’m tired of seeing (new soldiers especially) sit on a profile for a paper cut while others who may have a significant injury bust their butts.

Well I can say this, in 2008 I was a squad leader at Ft. Hood, TX. I had 16 troops to watch after, only 2 where combat related injuries, the rest were just common accidents etc. One was from Rock climbing during leave. Only 2 during my tenure actually worked to get back into the military the rest were being medically separated. Not sure how things are going now.
