'Devastating' fire swept through Minneapolis apartment building, killing 5 and injuring 3

This is the apartment complex that was the supposed home of fictional Mary Richards, played by Mary Tyler Moore. After the owner of the famous "Mary Tyler Moore" house refused to let them do any more filming on or in front of her house, the heroine of the show "moved" to the then fashionable Cedars Plaza apartments. Those apartments, fallen on much sadder times, are now in the heart of Minneapolis' "Little Mogadishu" area, home to tens of thousands of Somali immigrants.
