Their Facebook page is bombarded by liberals right now. I simply posted that I would no longer spend money there and was immediately attacked.

They are cowards. I would check it out and comment too but I have 19 or so days left on my FB ban. Good Kitty

Yea, I have a lot to say to some of those comments but I'll keep my mouth shut. You just can't reason with some of those people and replying would just be feeding the drama lol. I posted for the benefit of the company and I know they do have people looking at those posts-and potential fallout from the decision.

Isn't it crazy that the same liberals out there that condemn shooting incidents and the weapon of choice which happens to be anything black with front and rear hand grips also support's a woman's right to abortion and the tens of thousands of babies that die each year and the weapon of choice is a scalpel

I would bet that he took a look at the numbers before he took this stance - Back in Aug 2017 Dick's chief financial officer Lee Belitsky was blaming poor performance on low firearms sales in particular rifles were mentioned. I see a business guy looking to reduce his overhead - on a poorly priced product - with the spill over benefit of getting a ton of free press capitalizing on the anti-gun sentiment. Sure its about the kids or Cruz buying a shotgun or what ever sound bite sounds good.

While it may look good on paper I'm not sure he calculated this correctly. I feel many pro-gun shoppers will no longer be spending their money at a Dick's. I would expect this to be reflected in their second quarter earnings. It will be interesting to see how the shoppers respond.

Also, most of the liberals are anti-gun in the extreme so even though they support this stance, would never purchase a firearm anyway.

Just really sad that where you shop has now been "weaponized" politically.

They may not need my money, but they won't have a chance at it either.
