Interesting article, I agree that most of the anti-gun types are ignorant and relying on the part line they received from elsewhere, whether that is the MSM or other sources.

Don't get hung up on the word "power" -- he wasn't using the term in the sense of "power trip", he was using it more in the context of physical combat. And that's exactly why you carry. You want to be able to address a threat to you and your family with sufficient power to stop or eliminate the threat.

SSgt Christopher Brose I understand that, and you understand that, but for too many on the gun grabby side of life, they don't see it that way. They see gun owners as old west villains waiting for chance to tell them "This town aint big enough for the two of us"

PO3 Steven Sherrill - Fair enough, but then I would make that point only in reference to the people who use the term that way. The author of the article did not.

SSgt Christopher Brose - I don't care what kind of power they meant. The power of self defense is powerful. If sheeple take that to mean power over them, they are deluded, but that's what makes them sheep to start off with. They have the same rights as we all do. They just choose to trust in LEO to save them no matter what.

Remember this, and share it with whoever will listen; When SECONDS count, LE is only MINUTES away!
I carry firearms (Plural. Always more that one!) because a cop is too heavy!

If folks that are unarmed or are anti-gun feel that those of us that carry hold power over them they totally don't get it. I won't say some aren't on a power trip, but the vast majority carry for self protection and protection of loved ones.
My wife has never used a firearm but is glad that I carry for her protection.
