As I am sitting in the waiting room at the VA and the clerk had the check in window glass closed would never even look up and greet me. She just let me stand there while she typed. Being frustrated I found a kiosk and check myself in. Try not to greet a guest at Disney and continue to ignore them - it is called getting fired. The VA - this woman keeps her job and still has not acknowledged I am here. I drove 2 1/2 hours to get treated like this. I should have kept going and just gone to Disney where there is customer service. I am looking for a comment card and none to be found.

I do still have the VA Secretary's cell number to tell him about your experience. Even better, if you shoot an email to the director of that department and cc the VA Hospital Director, VISN director AND the VA Secretary, you may get some satisfaction.
Sad thing is, you have to go through all this male bovine excrement along with the name and date of employee to get any change done. Ms. Hickey is no longer the Undersecretary, though.

SGT Tracey "Tra" Cooper-Harris - It was crazy. I waited a whole then wondered if I was at the wrong waiting area, so I tapped on the glass. She put her finger up to communicate "wait" , so I went and sat back down. I was struggling to regulate my emotions, so I chose not to even attempt to talk to her. When I finally was out of my appointment she was gone to lunch, so no one to make my next appointment. The doctor was very nice and extremely knowledgeable.

Put pen to paper and let your experience be known! It's damn time customer service is pushed!!!

CSM (Join to see) - This is frustrating. Those kiosks for self check in may speed up the process, but that human interaction is important. My VA card didn't work at the kiosk until I ordered the new one, so I had to do that interaction every single time.
I'd still recommend reaching out to the VA Secretary & Director of your hospital at the very least. When you're ready. I am glad that the interaction with your doctor was at least good.
