I can believe that many of the founding fathers would be of mixed ancestory. Most of them had been here for at least 4 generations. A lot of time for a lot of mixing the old gene pool. Capt Dwayne Conyers

My parents believed that President Eisenhower’s mother was “mulatto” (mixed-race) but that is not absolutely proven. If true, Obama was not the first.

What I find strange is I have been in the US all my life, as my family before me and so on. Yet I am 100% European Mostly Saxon and Viking. Why has my ethnicity not been graced other ethnicity? I have been taught at an early age, when it comes to relationships, I must follow my own color. I did not instill this narrow minded practice with my son, and today he is married to a beautiful women of Asian/Latino decent. Finally adding a little color to the family gene pool.
