Do military women want combat jobs? The survey numbers say yes — and so do more than 9,000 combat...

I don't think that all women are cut out for combat....but there are some who really want the opportunity to go....If these women want to serve their country in a combat zone then why not? Let them go if it's their choice...

We've had this discussion in my unit and none of the females to include myself have a desire (or would have voted) for combat MOSs. I do not feel the survey accurately portrays the majority of the females in the military.
How different would the numbers be if they posted this survey on AKO and had everyone take it?
For the few that can meet the set standards for those MOSs without lowering them, then by all means they are the exception to the rule and they should be given a chance (by exception) not just opening for equal oportunity. Specialties are limited and competitive (and should stay that way) they should not have a certain percentage set aside for females just so they get included.
