This used to happen once in a while when I was stationed at Luke. Not often, but it happened. Also bird strikes cause havoc....

When I was a Captain in the Civil Air Patrol flying a Cessna fixed wing, just as I rotated a flock of birds flew right into me , the prop and were bouncing off the cowling and for a second I thought I was back in Nam getting sprayed with ground fire. Scary experience.
