SGM Erik Marquez I've been following this for some time. On paper this looked like the best thing since sliced bread. I am guessing that some of the technology or short cuts to meet budget are the issue. I hope that they can figure out the problem, this would be a great weapon for our forces in combat and could be a game changer for the grunts on the ground.

LTC (Join to see) My understanding (I was in RC-|East when one set of the weapons was being tested there) the weapon works exactly as designed, and just like an open sided machine with gears and chains driving it, a 1000 ton ram that cycles on a timer not by user trigger which stamps steel parts that require a user to hand place and hold the raw material.. will stamp said parts perfectly..when all things are going right.. there are many things that can go wrong.
The XM25 is capable of having a live round in chambered, and a second round partially put into chamber.. opps, that is a design flaw on a combat weapon system, not just a training issue. Im ok with it as is for testing the weapons effectiveness on target...,,but it needs to be refined prior to mass procurement and deployment.
