A little education would go a long way here. Hiding the flag is like shutting the door on the monsters in the closet. They're still there in the child's imagination. It is far better to shine a light in the closet and demonstrate that there is nothing to fear...

If the U.S. flag offends you , move to a country had has a flag you support.
