When one drains the swamp, one has to backfill it with something solid or it fills up again. Trump is having to look beyond the traditional pool of candidates for senior jobs in an administration to find people that he trusts and that don't add to the swamp he is trying to drain. It is a bit ironic that he is being accused of picking "inexperienced" people for some of the positions in his administration considering the person those same critics picked to be our current president. Draining the swamp is a tough job ... have to go outside of it to get the solid fill to replace what you drain. That means there will be a steep learning curve for some new folks in town. The question to ask is not whether they have experience in the position for which they've been selected ... but whether they have the wherewithal to successfully negotiate the steep learning curve. So far, I think his picks can handle the task.

I'd also note that much of the criticism, masked in charges of "inexperience", is really sparked by disagreement with the ideological bent of the person selected for the position. Sorry about that ... but "elections have consequences" ....
